Who We Are

Threads is Hudson Valley Community College’s annual literary magazine featuring student writing and artwork. Edited by faculty in the English Department, the publication showcases creative and academic work including poetry, short fiction, essays, photography, and visual art. All HVCC students are invited to submit their work for consideration.

What We Publish
Threads aims to showcase a broad range of student voices and talents. Rather than selecting only the “best” work, the magazine reflects the diversity, creativity, and varied experiences of the HVCC community.

Annual Threads Reading
Each April, the English Department hosts a campus-wide reading featuring students whose work appears in the magazine. This event celebrates creative expression and fosters engagement with the diverse voices of our college community. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
